Fresh or transfer Indonesian helper?
A fresh helper comes from Indonesia and is new to Singapore. She has completed training in Indonesia, and you can shape her routine from day one; expect several weeks for her documents, medical check-up and arrival.
A transfer helper is already working in Singapore and is changing employer. She knows local homes, food and routines, you can interview her in person at our Bugis office, and she can usually start sooner.
What we check before we put a helper forward
- Work history in Singapore or overseas, and references from previous employers where available
- Practical skills: housework, cooking, infant care, child care and elderly care
- Language: everyday English or Malay so she can communicate with your family
- Health and age requirements set by MOM (helpers must be at least 23 years old)
