There is no single "best" maid agency for every family. The right one is licensed, transparent about fees, has a fair replacement policy and helpers who match your needs. Use these checks to compare agencies, including us.
8 things to check before you sign
- MOM licence: every agency must hold a valid MOM employment agency licence. Search the licence number in the MOM Employment Agency Directory. Suria's licence is 02C2836.
- Years in business: an agency that has placed helpers for many years has handled most situations before. Suria has operated since 2002.
- Clear, written fees: ask for the full package in writing, with the agency fee, service fee, insurance and any placement loan shown separately.
- Replacement policy: check how many replacements you get, for how long, and whether the agency fee for a replacement is charged again.
- Real reviews: read recent Google reviews, not only the testimonials on the agency's own website.
- Helper profiles: you should see each helper's age, experience, skills and work history before you interview her.
- Interviews: a good agency lets you interview transfer helpers in person or by video, and does not rush you to decide.
- Support after placement: ask who helps if there are problems in the first months, and how the agency handles work permit renewal, home leave and repatriation.
