Transfer Maids in Singapore

A transfer maid is a domestic helper who is already working in Singapore and is changing employers. Because she is already here, you can interview her in person and she can usually start sooner than a helper coming from overseas.

Benefits of hiring a transfer maid

• Singapore work experience, so she already knows local homes and routines.
• Face-to-face interview at our Golden Landmark office in Bugis.
• Shorter waiting time than a fresh helper.

What Suria handles for you

We check her employment history, arrange the interview, and handle the work permit transfer, medical check-up and insurance with MOM. You can see which transfer helpers are available now on our maid list, or WhatsApp us and we will shortlist for you.

Our packages start from $1,843.10: see maid agency fees.

How a maid transfer works, step by step

1. Shortlist transfer helpers from our maid list or with our consultant on WhatsApp
2. Interview her at our Bugis office, in person or by video call
3. Agree the salary, rest days and start date, and sign the employment contract
4. We submit the work permit application to MOM and arrange her insurance and security bond
5. She completes the medical check-up and moves in once the work permit is issued

Transfer maid or new maid?

Choose a transfer helper if you need someone soon, want a helper who already knows Singapore homes, or prefer to meet her face to face before deciding. Choose a fresh helper if you would rather train someone to your own routine, or if you are open to waiting a few more weeks.

Questions to ask at the interview

• Why is she leaving her current employer, and how long did she stay?
• What were her daily tasks, and has she cared for babies, children or elderly people?
• Can she cook the dishes your family eats?
• What rest-day arrangement does she prefer?
