A helper's passport must stay valid for her work permit. Suria helps employers arrange passport renewal for their domestic helpers, including Indonesian helpers, so the process is handled correctly and on time.
How we help with passport renewal
- Check when the passport expires and what needs to be prepared
- Guide you and your helper through the embassy process
- Help update her details after the new passport is issued
Plan ahead
Passport renewal can take time, so start well before the expiry date. WhatsApp us with the expiry date and we will tell you what to prepare.
See available helpers on our maid list, compare maid agency fees, or visit our office in Bugis.
When to renew your helper's passport
Check the expiry date as soon as your helper starts, and again before each work permit renewal. Renewing early avoids problems with the work permit, home leave and travel. Her passport belongs to her, so she should keep it, and she will need to attend the embassy in person.
How we help
- Check which documents she needs and book the appointment with the Indonesian Embassy
- Prepare the forms and supporting letters from you as her employer
- Update her new passport details with MOM once it is issued
